Seafood Watch: Monterey Bay Aquarium

Informed decisions on the seafood you choose to eat can have profound effects on the survival of that particular seafood industry and ultimately the survival of that species. To help educate people in making informed decisions, the Lawrence Hall of Science has partnered with the Monterey Bay Aquarium’s Seafood Watch Program. Our partnership allows us to distribute regional and national Seafood Watch guides to over 250,000 Hall visitors each year as well as to schools, teachers and students involved in the MARE program.

Visit the Seafood Watch Program home page and learn more about sustainable seafood, and check out the MARE/GEMS teacher's guide Only One Ocean for exciting, hands-on curriculum focusing on sustainable fisheries.
